About Parkgate Paws
Meet Freyja.
The person behind every walk, every visit, and every photo update.
Animals have always been my life.
I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals — dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, horses and everything in between. They weren't just pets. They were family. That's never changed.
I've had animals my whole life, and today I share my home with four dogs: Patsy (a Chihuahua with a big personality), Walter (a Labrador who loves everyone), Baxter (a Toy Poodle cross with endless charm), and Vincent (a Morkie who thinks he runs the show).
Looking after animals isn't something I learned — it's just how I've always lived.
Why I started Parkgate Paws.
I wanted to offer the kind of care I'd trust for my own four. Calm, reliable, and genuinely attentive. No rushed visits. No overcrowded walks. Just proper, personal care for every animal I work with.
I keep my lead walk groups small — a maximum of four dogs — because every pet deserves real attention, not just a headcount.
How I work with nervous dogs.
Not every dog is confident from the start, and that's completely fine. I never force a fearful dog into a situation — it only makes things worse. I let them move at their own pace and opt in to interaction when they're ready. Patience and calm go a long way.
Photo updates? I love sending them.
I love sending photo updates. Knowing that an owner can check their phone and see their pet safe, happy, and having a great time while they're away — that's real peace of mind, and it matters.

Your peace of mind.
Fully Insured
Complete peace of mind on every single walk and visit. We're professionally insured so you never have to worry.
GPS For extra peace of mind.
Every walk is also GPS tracked, and the route can be shared with you on request.
Small Groups for Lead Walks
We cap on-lead group walks at four dogs — so every dog gets proper attention and nobody gets lost in the crowd.
Large Group Off-Lead Sessions in Secure Fields
For dogs that need to really run, our off-lead sessions take place in fully secure fields where bigger groups can stretch out, socialise and burn energy safely.

Consistency matters to animals. Every visit is with the same familiar face — so your pet settles quickly and feels genuinely at ease.
